Our Philosophy
The philosophy of the ORIS Orthopaedic Centre is based on a modern, specialist, and collaborative approach to orthopaedic care.
The name ORIS comes from the initials Orthopaedic Reconstruction & Innovative Surgery and reflects the core of our identity: the reconstruction of joints and bones through innovative and modern surgical techniques.
The centre was established in Thermi, Thessaloniki, a rapidly developing area in the eastern part of the city, known for its high quality of life, modern infrastructure, and proximity to major medical and research institutions. This environment reinforces our philosophy of evolution, innovation, and the provision of high-level healthcare services.
At ORIS, we emphasise high specialisation. Our doctors have been trained and specialised in various recognised centres abroad, bringing valuable experience and expertise. We believe that every patient deserves to be treated by the appropriate orthopaedic specialist, depending on their condition, moving away from the outdated concept of generalised treatment.
Our goal is personalised and properly guided treatment, with the patient at its core. We aim to maintain and restore the body’s natural functionality through reconstruction techniques, avoiding more invasive solutions wherever possible.
At the same time, we actively promote collaboration among orthopaedic specialists, following the standards of international systems such as the National Health Service (NHS). The multidisciplinary approach and case discussions among different specialties allow for a more comprehensive and holistic treatment, especially for complex conditions.
In this way, we achieve not only the best possible treatment strategy but also faster and more effective rehabilitation for the patient, ensuring a high level of care at every stage of treatment.
