An 83-year-old patient with a history of cemented total hip arthroplasty presented with aseptic loosening of the acetabular and femoral components, complicated by a periprosthetic fracture following a fall.
A complex, single-stage total hip arthroplasty revision was performed using a hybrid technique, involving the insertion of a press-fit acetabular component secured with screws and a cemented femoral component. A femoral mesh was used due to extensive bone resorption in the femur.
At the same time, osteosynthesis of the periprosthetic fracture was performed using a plate, achieving stable restoration of the femur and secure support for the implants.
