An 82-year-old patient presented with a complex Vancouver type B2 periprosthetic femoral fracture<\/strong>, associated with subsidence and instability of the femoral stem.<\/p>

Given the instability of the femoral component and the fracture pattern, revision of the femoral component<\/strong> was performed using a long cemented Exeter stem.<\/strong><\/p>

The periprosthetic fracture was additionally stabilised with a trochanteric plate<\/strong>, providing fixation of the fracture and restoration of femoral stability.<\/p>
