A 71-year-old patient with extensive osteoarthritis of the wrist secondary to rheumatoid arthritis, presenting with severe pain, deformity and significant functional impairment of the upper limb.
A total wrist replacement was performed, with the aim of relieving pain and maintaining functional movement of the joint.
The post-operative imaging shows that the implant is well-positioned and stable, with the prospect of improved functionality and everyday use of the hand.
