Dr. Georgios Kalinterakis
Georgios Kalinterakis graduated from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina and specialized in Orthopaedics at recognized hospitals in Greece, including the ‘Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou’ Children’s General Hospital of Athens, the Karditsa General Hospital, the ‘Korgialeneio-Benakeio Hellenic Red Cross’ General Hospital of Athens, and the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens. He is a PhD candidate with research interest focused on the patellofemoral compartment.
He underwent postgraduate training in sports injuries and shoulder surgery in Greece and France, gaining specialized experience in arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder surgery, instability management, as well as rotator cuff tear repair and knee ligamentous injuries. During his postgraduate training, he actively participated in specialized centers, deepening both his surgical technique and clinical decision-making.
He has significant scientific work, with 28 scientific publications in reputable international journals (PubMed), focusing mainly on knee and shoulder surgery, as well as presentations at Greek and international scientific conferences.
